Building Resilience Through Livelihoods

Kalo for Development (K4D) strengthens community resilience by supporting sustainable livelihoods that enable households to withstand shocks and improve long-term economic security. Through skills development, income-generating activities, support to small-scale agriculture, and market-linked livelihood opportunities, K4D works with vulnerable families to diversify income sources, reduce dependency on humanitarian assistance, and build pathways toward self-reliance and dignity.

Education Support for Children

Kalo for Development (K4D) supports children’s education by improving access to safe learning environments, essential learning materials, and inclusive educational opportunities for vulnerable and marginalized children. Through community-based interventions, school support, and collaboration with local education stakeholders, K4D works to reduce barriers to education, strengthen learning outcomes, and ensure that every child—especially girls and children affected by poverty or crisis—has the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a better future.

Community Nutrition Outreach

Kalo for Development (K4D) implements community-based nutrition outreach programs to improve the nutritional status of children, pregnant and lactating women, and other vulnerable community members. Through nutrition screening, awareness sessions, caregiver counseling, and referral to health services, K4D works with communities to prevent malnutrition, promote healthy feeding practices, and strengthen local capacity to address nutrition challenges in both development and emergency contexts.
